The AT212 Attuned Top is a 2-way loudspeaker for short to medium distance coverage. It’s a simple to use, easy to set up, attractive, compact array cabinet capable of high output along with a smooth sound and natural musical character.

The cabinet features dual direct-radiating 12” high-efficiency neodymium magnet woofers and a customized 1.4” exit compression driver loaded on a 30 by 80 degree Tractrix-flare horn. With the cabinet standing vertically, the horn has a horizontal coverage of 30 degrees. The cabinet is built as a trapezoid with 15-degree side-angles, making a tight-packed array of adjacent cabinets possible with minimal off-axis interference. The 30-degree coverage per box allows arrays to be configured in 30-degree increments for anywhere from 30 to 360 degrees of horizontal coverage.

Dual 12” low frequency drivers were chosen to minimize the cabinet frontal area while delivering the best possible speed and impact in the mid-bass and midrange frequencies. Thanks to the narrow frontal area, the LF drivers couple coherently when multiple cabinets are arrayed, providing powerful mid-bass impact from a small box. The 4-foot tall box elevates the high frequency radiators to a minimum of 7’5” on center when stacked on the corresponding subwoofer systems.

The 30 by 80 degree coverage pattern makes the cabinet particularly versatile and practical because it can be flown horizontally with coverage of 80 degrees horizontal by 30 degrees vertical, ideal for low-profile placement on a ceiling, above a dance floor or as a near-field fill.

At only 74 lbs it is particularly well suited to applications where light weight is required. One-person set-up of a substantial system is not only possible; it’s realistic. The SSP218-A can serve as the transport dolly for the AT212 tops, making load-in and set-up incredibly fast and easy.

When an AT212 is combined with a BASSMAXX powered subwoofer the result is a very effective, practical, high fidelity 3-way active loudspeaker system.
