Studio cameras require heavyweight counterbalanced fluid heads to allow friction-free manual pan and tilts. These heads are mounted on robust tripods or pedestals that provide vibration-free movement during production. Typically these are expensive systems made by Vinten, O’Connor, Sachtler and others. Tripods and pedestals for compact robotic systems, whether an integrated PTZ Camera or Tekskil's Dynamic Balance Cradle combined with lightweight pan tilt heads, only require a very stable platform. The QS-MP1 with our custom base plates provide a rock solid and economical solution for mounting robotic systems.
