The MPEX2S1P552 2S1P Mini PCI Express Serial/Parallel Combo Card turns a mini-PCIe slot into two RS232 (DB9) serial ports, and one IEEE 1284 parallel port - a cost-saving solution for adding serial and parallel support to embedded systems that lack built-in serial/parallel functionality.

The 16650 UART adapter card features a native PCI Express single chip design, which enables you to take advantage of full PCI Express capability, by providing improved speed and reliability while reducing the load applied to the CPU by as much as 48% over conventional "bridge chip" serial cards .
