The AI1001 is a wall mounted, 13 scene, digital remote for use with the Lightronics AR1202 architectural dimmer. This unit enables dimmer scene activation from multiple remote locations using an IR handheld remote. An LED indicator provides visual feedback when a signal is being received. The AI1001 wiring is low voltage. The AI1001 connects to the AR1202 via a shielded 4 conductor cable arranged as 2 twisted pairs. One pair connects to the data signals. The other pair carries the common and power. Scenes activated by the AI1001 are created and stored in the AR1202. The AI1001 can access up to 5 different scene blocks with 13 scenes in each block. No setup or turn on procedure is needed. When the AR1202 dimmer is powered on, the AI1001 will also be powered. Communication with the AI1001 is automatically established. AI1001 operation is completely transparent to the user. There are no controls or adjustments. It automatically senses and encodes IR signals to activate scenes which have been stored in the dimmer. The unit fits into a standard single gang wall switch box.
