Our new UltraNEXUS-HD Blade system packs 12 high definition video servers, with independent graphics per channel, into a compact four rack unit chassis, and draws an astonishing 220 watts of AC power total, even when configured with redundant power supplies. Most contemporary server systems with similar specifications draw upwards of 50 to 75 watts of AC power per channel, and therefore would draw 600–900 watts in order to provide the 12 channels of the UltraNEXUS-HD Blade. With the UltraNEXUS-HD Blade, however, a channel provider can operate on less than 25 percent of the AC power, with less dissipated heat and in a significantly smaller amount of physical space.
