501-WMBB is designed for clean mounting in drywall and other flat substrates. It’s the perfect choice for corporate, government, retail, private residences and any installation demanding superb sound quality with pleasing architectural appearance. The 501-WMBB offers smooth midrange and bass response through the use of our 5.25” bass-mid transducer and 8” optimally tuned passive radiator. Our 5.25” transducer faithfully reproduces the midrange frequencies so critical for voice and dialogue applications. Coupling this to our 1” pure titanium dome tweeter gives the 501-WMBB outstanding clarity and coherence along with wide frequency response and moderate power capacity. The backbox is designed to mount into a 2x4 wall cavity on 16” centers prior to the drywall installation. The drywall installer simply trims out the backbox opening as with any light fixture or outlet. After painting and finishing of the drywall, the 501-WMBB baffle can be quickly reinstalled into the opening to complete the job.
