The P227DS, instead of conventional CCFL backlight units, some of the monitors are using already innovative LED backlights to illuminate the LCD screen. As a result the monitor’s cabinet is a thinner, the display is brighter and shows more colors. In addition it is more environmental friendly due to low power consumption. The model is ENERGY STAR Rated, has an EPEAT™ rating of gold contains packaging that uses materials with a lower environmental impact and includes a low power panel.
