The MediaMaster MM-4000 Complete Video on Demand Server is ETR’s flagship product, jam-packed with our newest features. It combines the function of the MM-2000 and MM-3000 servers. It is based on the same robust and reliable LAMP stack that powers most of the Internet, but is designed for LAN or district WAN deployment. Atop this strong foundation, we’ve built a video server that works with both traditional video distribution systems (baseband or broadband, analog or digital) and TCP/IP data networks. The system allows for both video on demand operation and scheduling of physical media and sources. Teachers and administrators use and manage the system from any computer on the network that has a web browser. The server can also stream the video over the school’s data network, either to PCs or dedicated decoder hardware. Dedicated decoders are most useful for video display in common areas like hallways and cafeterias where there is no nearby computer. Server hardware includes ball bearing fans with washable air filters, temperature and fan speed monitoring system, and UL/ CSA/ TUV/ FCC/ CE approvals. UPS battery backup for the server is required.
