Our third-generation high-definition IPTV decoder accepts digital video streams (IPTV) from various network sources and converts them to HDMI, VGA or HD component video. The streams may originate from a MediaMaster web server (excepting MM-2000) or an MPEG-2 or H.264 streamer (MM-1280 series). The MM-1275/1775 also acts as a video and network switch, offering dual HDMI inputs and three Ethernet ports. This makes it more than a set-top-box: it is the classroom’s A/V system hub. For example, a classroom with a single Ethernet drop can have an MM-1275, a network-controlled projector, and a PC. The projector can have a single HDMI input, with the MM-1275 switching in the PC video and another source, intermixed with IPTV from the MM-1275 itself. The decoder has RS-232 serial output for controlling a video display. This obviates the need for additional Ethernet to serial converters.
