The ES-812 (12 port) are power injectors for power over Ethernet (PoE) devices. The units accept an Ethernet data signal and passes through the identical signal along with 48VDC "injected" into the RJ-45 Ethernet connector using the Spare Pair. These units inject power passively. Applied voltage is available all the time, there is no auto negotiation with the attached client device. These devices have no switching function - there is no configuration needed, and VLANs and other management features of any switch will be handled transparently thru the injector. The ES-812 is a 1RU panel configuration which may be rack-mounted if desired. The unit consists of the power injector and an external power supply (90-240VAC, 50/60Hz) and is capable of powering eight/twelve PoE devices up to 328feet from the injector. The user must specify for a 60 for a 60W power supply (if needed for non-ESE equipment that may require more power).
