The Cross Band Repeater (CBR) is used to repeat telegrams from one EnOcean standard frequency to another, directionally. This frequency hopping allows telegrams in one frequency band to be received in another, secondary band. Applications for the CBR include projects in North America where 315MHz products have been installed and replacement product has become difficult to source. Facilities with existing 315MHz product may also wish to expand their wireless control systems and take advantage of the growing selection of 902MHz products. There are also many products manufactured in other markets unique to a specific frequency. The CBR allows these products to be easily integrated into any EnOcean eco-system. The CBR utilizes the repeating function within the EnOcean protocol supporting and maintaining the single and dual hop telegram repeating restrictions.
