Each IPC unit receives and transmits signals from the LAN to and from the IPC located at the WoIP Integrated Base Station (IBS) and other IPC units within the network. Each IPC unit has a unique address in the WAVES over IP network, and is individually software controlled from the IBS. Up to 500 IPC units can be individually addressed.
The IPC includes three digital input circuits, 3 commandable relays - Normally Opened, Normally Closed. Built-in drivers for Power Out (aux power)/Line-level Audio In/Out/2 x 15 Watt Amplifier Out. The IPC also offers 15 VDC isolated output.
The IPC provides supervision and monitoring at end nodes Each IPC unit conducts supervisory built-in self-tests (BIT) that are reported periodically or on-demand to the WoIP IBS where they are displayed and logged. Changes in supervised variables trigger active conditions at the IBS and can be further programmed to initiate messaging events throughout the system.
The IPC is housed in an extruded aluminum enclosure It mounts easily to an included back plate. The IPC unit is powered from either AC or DC power sources. An optional battery backup unit (UPS-901) can provide up to five hours of operation.
