Similar to the Butler but with more connectivity options, integrated HTTP server and RDM capability, the Butler XT2 is a DMX/RDM Engine that can be used in standalone mode to replay and loop previously uploaded lighting shows, programmed using the e:cue Lighting Application Suite (LAS). The Butler XT2 is also used as a DMX/RDM interfacing device for the e:cue Programmer in the LAS. In standalone mode, one DIN-rail mountable Butler XT2 controls up to 1024 DMX/RDM channels and plays up to eight cuelist in parallel. Additionally, with firmware version 2.0, the Butler XT2 can be configured with any web browser and can be controlled with the graphical user interface Action Pad. The DMX/RDM channel control can be increased to 16,384 channels by clustering more Butlers XT2s. The Butler XT2 has many connectivity options used to control the lighting show running on the device. Connectivity options include direct connection to Glass Touch user terminals, RS-232, digital dry contact inputs and e:cue protocols. Show control is also possible via LAN and WLAN with web browsers and remote devices running the Action Pad on iOS and Android, like iPad, iPhone and any Android smartphone or tablet. An integrated realtime and astronomical clock allows time and date controlled triggers. The e:bus interface can connect to e:cue's Glass Touch terminals or e:bus Input Modules for user interaction and control or connection of motion sensors. With the e:cue Butler XT2 Garage several Butler XT2 can be mounted in 19-inch racks easily.
