West Bend Mutual Insurance Company had determined the Audio-Visual equipment in their boardroom was at the end of its useful life and was not adhering to the corporate image they wanted to display to internal personnel, external clients, or community members. West Bend Mutual Insurance Company has a beautiful campus and wanted their corporate technology to function efficiently while emphasizing that beauty.
The Goal:
West Bend Mutual Insurance was looking for a solution that was not over the top, budget conscious, and accomplished the goals they indicated were needed in their boardroom. InfoCor provided options from simple and inexpensive to the most elaborate and technologically advanced, allowing WBMI to decide from the choices provided.
The Solution:
The focal point of the boardroom is the 8-foot-wide by 4.5-foot-tall, Nanolumens LED video wall. This provides: the picture quality, allowing details on the screen to be clearly visible from anywhere in the room; the brightness, allowing for the window shades to be open during meetings.
The audio is distributed using a Biamp Tesira DSP Audio Server that is connected to the existing in-ceiling speakers. This feature allows superior sound quality around the room.
The Polycom RealPresence with two Eagle Eye IV cameras allows for clear face to face communication during video conferencing.
The entire room is controlled by a system featuring several Crestron components including a 10.1” touch screen with custom programming that allows for any user to easily control the audio and video, lighting, and window shades in the room. The programming on the screen was designed to mimic apps on a phone screen for easy user recognition.
Using a Barco ClickShare CSE-200, meeting attendees wirelessly connect their laptop to the Nanolumens LED Video wall by using a USB device, that with a single click of its button, connects to the display.
“We’re very pleased with this new system, it’s a great thing to get the right technology at the right price and that’s exactly what InfoCor delivered”
